“Our brand essence is centred around the belief that love empowers your life,” says CEO Nusara Assakul Banyatpiyaphod of Ocean Life Insurance Public Company Limited, a company founded by her father 74 years ago. Inheriting this family-owned life insurance business from her father and older brother, Nusara has infused the company with the concept of love—whether for health and financial well-being, one’s profession, employees, customers, the community, or the environment. Expanding Reach and Accessibility

Ocean Life was initially focused on providing industrial life insurance to rural communities. However, under Nusara’s leadership, the company has expanded its services nationwide, now catering to both urban and rural areas. With 1,791 employees, Ocean Life offers a broad range of policies, including life, industrial, group, health and accident insurance, MRTA, unit-linked policies, business and real estate loans, investments, and human resource management.

Ease of access remains a core priority. The company continually simplifies the purchasing and claims process to ensure convenience for clients. Nusara highlights the industrial policy designed for upcountry customers, which features minimal underwriting requirements and a straightforward structure, making it the first insurance experience for many Thais.

Since taking the helm in 2010, Nusara has led Ocean Life through a transformative journey, modernising the brand and restoring profitability. The company successfully navigated digital transformation to adapt to the pandemic and shifting consumer behaviors.
