Haslina Taib was appointed by Dynamik Technologies Sdn Bhd as its Chief Executive Officer in 2007. Established in 2001 in Brunei Darussalam, Dynamik Technologies is a pioneer in the IT industry, implementing the first national eGovernment flagship project for the whole of government treasury system in 2002. The company offers clients a full spectrum of IT services with vast experience in delivering full-fledged ERP systems as well as tailored and niche implementations, assisting clients to achieve their goals through the deployment of turnkey solutions to maintaining systems and operations based on international frameworks.
With a chartered certified accountant as a foundation as well as possessing Master of Business Administration from Harvard and Cranfield, she has years of experience in numerous industries to help transform and grow companies.
She believes at the heart of every successful team is to pursue continuous personal and professional development in order to drive innovation and digital transformation, for the benefit of clients and stakeholders.
Together with her 200-strong team at Dynamik Technologies, Haslina has seen the implementation of eGovernment transformation projects in finance, human resources, tax, registry, census, pension, oil wells management, data management and welfare supporting 50,000 enterprise users across the nation, and also members of the public. The company has also delivered welfare projects that create efficiency and the ability to analyze and optimize decision-making, including the steps taken to harmonize the processes and create systems to improve the lives of people living on the poverty line. The company also has built systems that improved the processing time from registration of companies to managing contracts, bankruptcy and tax administration which were important to the ease of doing business.
One major milestone for the organization was having been successfully appraised for Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) v2.0 Maturity Level (ML) 3 for the third time consecutively in the past nine years. Dynamik Technologies was the first in South East Asia and the eighth in the Asia Pacific Region to be appraised with the updated CMMI v2.0 Model for ML3. They are also the first and only organization in Brunei with CMMI appraisal to date.
This achievement continues to position Dynamik Technologies as being the only local IT company in Brunei that is on par with other world-class organizations in terms of best practices in software and organizational development.
Dynamik Technologies also led innovation through building a proof of concept for ASEAN introduced during the 2021 ASEAN Business and Investment Summit then known as ASEAN Digital Gateway and Travel Wallet project that was aimed at facilitating a safer, seamless, and standardized approach to resuming regional travel in light of Covid-19. Since then, the work has further developed into the ASEAN Digital Credentials Platform or AKREDI which emphasizes on standardizing and sharing cross border credentials in support of ASEAN Economic Integration. Leveraging on blockchain, AKREDI will facilitate seamless cross border movement of people through the authentication of credentials especially for businesses, professionals and students across the region.
Haslina also believes in empowering the youth in Brunei to pursue STEM fields and created Kids Can Code to be the next generation of problem solvers through learning programming. In addition, Haslina established eBunda after the launch of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Network by the APEC Business Advisory Council, a program nurturing and enabling women to have more opportunities through continuous development and entrepreneurship, especially while taking career breaks to care of children and elderly family members.
