Achievements in Water, Carbon, and Packaging Sustainability
By the end of 2022, Suntory PepsiCo had reduced its water usage by 29% compared to 2015 and successfully reused 27% of water from production processes. Water conservation is further promoted through the company’s Mizuiku – I Love Clean Water educational program. In its commitment to reducing carbon emissions, Suntory PepsiCo aims for a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions from direct operations and a 30% decrease across its entire value chain by 2030.
The company has also made significant strides in sustainable packaging, achieving 95% of its goal to use only recyclable, compostable, or biodegradable materials. By implementing sustainable packaging solutions, it has reduced the use of virgin PET plastics by 1,100 tons and cut plastic consumption at the production level by 3,470 tons.
