Sun Life Malaysia (SLM) is dedicated to helping individuals achieve financial security and healthier lives. Comprising Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad and Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad, the company was established in 1990 and 2005, respectively. It operates as a joint venture between Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and Khazanah Nasional Berhad, offering a wide range of life insurance and family takaful solutions tailored to the needs of Malaysians.

With a strong omni-channel brand and engagement strategy, SLM ensures seamless communication and fosters trust among its diverse client base, which includes middle-income professionals, business owners, and adults aged 25 to 55. It distributes its products through various channels, including bancassurance, bancatakaful, agency force, direct and telemarketing, corporate and government business, and e-distribution.

One notable effort is the Sun Life Global Sustainable Fund, a conventional and takaful investment-linked fund that enables Malaysians to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into their investments while striving for long-term capital appreciation and protection gains.

Through its Brighter You corporate responsibility program, SLM actively champions community well-being. By 2021, over 9,000 Malaysians had benefited from the Brighter You program, with more than RM850,000 invested in building healthier, more sustainable communities.
