More about

Southville International School and Colleges

Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), founded in 1990, has grown into one of the Philippines’ most distinguished private educational institutions. Originally based in Parañaque, the school moved its main campus to Las Piñas City in 1996. Today, SISC serves approximately 3,000 students from southern Metro Manila and the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas, offering a comprehensive range of programs from K-12 to undergraduate and graduate school levels.

A Vision for Global Excellence

SISC’s vision is to be “recognized nationally and globally in the delivery of international education for developing lifelong learners, excellent in academics and values, and movers of society who will make a difference in the 21st century.” This commitment is reflected in its mission to develop lifelong learners equipped with the 5Cs—Competence, Character, Commitment to Achieve, Collaboration, and Creativity—through data-driven and technology-enhanced educational programs.

As the only international school in the Philippines offering a full spectrum of globally recognized and accredited programs, SISC upholds high international standards that ensure seamless educational transferability for students across the globe. The institution goes beyond academics, fostering intercultural understanding and providing students with essential soft skills such as grit, empathy, and leadership, preparing them to become responsible and productive members of society.

Addressing Challenges in Education

Operating in the Philippine education sector presents unique challenges, which SISC proactively addresses:

1. Strengthening Digital Infrastructure

With internet connectivity being a persistent challenge, SISC’s Management Information System (MIS) team conducts weekly assessments of WiFi connectivity across its four campuses in Las Piñas City. Additional access points have been installed to ensure students receive uninterrupted internet access for classroom activities and online learning. Furthermore, IT Physical Audits are scheduled to eliminate connectivity blind spots.

2. Teacher Retention and Compensation

A shrinking pool of experienced educators due to migration to overseas opportunities or government schools has prompted SISC to review and enhance its teacher salary scale. Adjustments have been made in line with inflation and minimum wage increases, and retirement benefits have been reassessed to remain competitive.

3. Engaging Stakeholders for Continuous Improvement

SISC maintains an open line of communication with students and parents, collecting feedback through town hall meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and surveys. The school ensures real-time responses to concerns, committing to addressing stakeholder complaints within 24 hours.

A Future-Ready Educational Institution

SISC follows a business model inspired by the Malcolm Baldrige Framework and the Philippine Quality Award, allowing it to remain agile during extraordinary circumstances such as economic disruptions or global crises. By focusing on resilience and efficient human and financial resource management, SISC ensures that learning continues uninterrupted.

With its commitment to academic excellence, global recognition, and stakeholder engagement, SISC continues to pioneer international education in the Philippines, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the 21st century.
