Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility
Trakindo strongly believes in being a responsible corporate citizen, embedding social impact into its mission. Beyond generating meaningful job opportunities for Indonesians, the company actively leads initiatives across four key areas: education, environment, health, and compassionate relief.
Education has been Trakindo’s primary focus, driven by the belief that it serves as the foundation for building the character and ethics of a nation. As a result, the company has developed extensive education support programs spanning elementary, vocational high school, and polytechnic levels.
Award-Winning Vocational Education Program
Recognized with ACES’ Community Initiative Award, Trakindo’s most significant impact in 2022 came through its vocational education initiative—the award-winning Trakindo CO-OP Education Program. Since its inception in 1996, this program has collaborated with eight public vocational high schools and six polytechnics across Indonesia, delivering a specialized curriculum in heavy equipment engineering and technological competencies to prepare students for the evolving industry.
Positioning itself as a key contributor to Indonesia’s education sector, Trakindo has designed the CO-OP Education Program to include industry-relevant coursework, project-based learning, on-the-job training, competency certifications, applied research, and graduate recruitment opportunities. The program also offers scholarships, service bonds, and laboratory equipment donations to enhance vocational education.
One of Trakindo’s greatest achievements has been the development of a character-based heavy equipment studies curriculum in collaboration with Indonesia’s Ministry of Education and Culture. This curriculum has now been officially adopted nationwide and is subject to stringent evaluation standards.

Measurable Impact and Future Expansion
A distinctive feature of the CO-OP Education Program is that it does not require graduates to work for Trakindo. Instead, students are empowered to choose their own career paths, leading to remarkable outcomes. As of 2021, over 4,500 graduates have secured employment within Trakindo and the broader heavy equipment industry. Additionally, the educational institutions involved in the program have been able to enhance their own capabilities through industry-linked revitalization programs.
Today, CO-OP program graduates account for more than 20% of Trakindo’s total technician workforce. Looking ahead, the company aims to expand its contributions and partnerships with vocational education providers as part of its CSR Framework 2025 target. Trakindo is also developing a middle school education program focused on character-based education and fostering interest in vocational studies.
“Education is the foundation for a nation’s progress, and Trakindo is proud to contribute to shaping Indonesia’s future workforce through sustainable and impactful initiatives.”
By continuously refining its educational programs and expanding its reach, Trakindo remains dedicated to advancing both individuals and industries, ensuring long-term success for generations to come.
