As part of its commitment to sustainability, Personal Collection launched the #GreenLifeGreatLife movement, aligning its business with a vision of environmental stewardship. The initiative focuses on transitioning from recyclable to biodegradable packaging, protecting natural ecosystems through corporate social responsibility efforts, and fostering an eco-conscious mindset among its stakeholders, including dealers, employees, product users, and local communities.
Personal Collection became the first Filipino-owned company to replace recyclable packaging with biodegradable alternatives, which naturally decompose in landfill conditions within five to ten years. This innovation is a groundbreaking response to plastic pollution, as conventional plastic packaging takes centuries to break down into microplastics, which remain harmful to the environment. The company officially launched its biodegradable packaging on June 8, 2021, starting with its flagship home care products, including Tuff Toilet Bowl Cleanser, sof & mmmmm Concentrated Fabric Conditioner, and Tuff Multi-Surface Cleanser. Today, more than 83 percent of its product lineup features biodegradable packaging, making it a pioneer in sustainable packaging solutions.
Driving Change Through CSR
Since October 2021, Personal Collection has expanded its #GreenLifeGreatLife movement through environmental corporate social responsibility programs. Hundreds of dealer and employee volunteers have participated in coastal and estuary clean-ups, tree planting, and mangrove restoration projects across the Philippines. In just 17 months, the company has planted 240,000 trees and mangroves while removing thousands of kilos of plastic waste from 39 local coastal communities. By engaging volunteers in hands-on environmental efforts, Personal Collection not only raises awareness but also empowers its stakeholders to take direct action in the fight against pollution.
