In partnership with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville Alabama, more than 1,750 students from 59 countries have undergone the programme, including seven students from Malaysia.
Honeywell Initiative for Science and Engineering (HISE) partners with universities worldwide and enables students to interact with, and learn from Nobel laureates and Honeywell fellows about the role of practical engineering and innovation. Honeywell has brought two Nobel-prize winning laureates to visit the University of Malaya in 2010 and the University of Teknologi PETRONAS in January 2018.
Honeywell Educators at Space Academy (HESA) partners with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center to provide secondary school science and math teachers an opportunity to learn about space-exploration in Huntsville, Alabama. Nearly 2,600 teachers from 56 countries, including 27 teachers from Malaysia, have attended this programme.
In collaboration with Safe Kids Malaysia Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Safe Kids Worldwide, the ‘Safe Kids at Home’ was launched as an educational safety programme to help prevent fires and burns among children ages seven 7 to 12 years old in Malaysia. Since February 2017, this program has successfully reached out to 6000 students in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
