More about

FrieslandCampina

Since its establishment in Hong Kong in 1938, FrieslandCampina Hong Kong (FCHK) has been dedicated to nourishing people at every stage of life with high-quality and nutritious dairy products. Over the past 79 years, FCHK has built a strong presence across various distribution channels, catering to consumers, professional food services, and customers throughout Hong Kong and Macau.

FCHK represents well-known brands such as FRISO infant and toddler milk formula, DUTCH LADY dairy-based beverages, OPTIMEL age-tailored nutrition for adults, and BLACK & WHITE and LONGEVITY taste enhancement products. Recognizing that its success is rooted in the support of the community, FCHK is committed to giving back through initiatives that align with its core purpose: “Nourishing the lives of Hong Kong people across all ages.” This guiding principle is deeply embedded in the company’s corporate goals, planning, and budgeting to ensure full commitment and accountability from top to bottom.

Promoting Healthier Lifestyles

Addressing public health concerns such as obesity and a lack of physical activity among children, FCHK actively promotes healthier lifestyles and strong family bonds. The company leverages World Milk Day (WMD), an initiative by the Food & Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, to advocate for balanced nutrition and exercise. Under the theme “Drink & Move, Building Strong Families Together,” FCHK encourages local families to adopt a healthier lifestyle through a balanced diet that includes two glasses of milk daily and regular physical activity.

In support of WMD 2017, FCHK introduced three key initiatives to create direct experiences that inspire long-term behavioral changes:

WMD School Milk Programme – A health awareness and education initiative for primary school students, appointing them as health ambassadors to share their knowledge with family and peers. On-site nutrition talks by dietitians and dance practice sessions with professional coaches encouraged students to embrace exercise in a fun and engaging way.

WMD Family Fun Day – A large-scale community event that brought local families together for outdoor activities, reinforcing the importance of physical movement and healthy habits.

Preserving Cultural Heritage and Empowering Communities

Beyond health and nutrition, FCHK is committed to preserving cultural heritage and fostering community empowerment through its New Generation Milk Tea Master Training Programme. As the supplier of BLACK & WHITE evaporated milk, a key ingredient in Hong Kong-style milk tea, FCHK recognized the need to sustain the traditional craftsmanship listed as part of Hong Kong’s First Intangible Cultural Heritage Inventory. With a declining talent pool due to retiring senior milk tea masters, the program was launched to train new talents and provide vocational opportunities for unemployed individuals.

The initiative offers comprehensive training and internship placements at local tea shops, equipping participants with the skills to continue this cultural tradition. It has since gained widespread support from local NGOs and tea shop customers, ensuring the sustainability of Hong Kong’s iconic milk tea culture.

Driving Social Impact Through Volunteering

FCHK’s commitment to social responsibility extends beyond structured programs, as the company actively encourages its employees to participate in volunteer activities. By uniting efforts to give back to society, FCHK fosters a strong sense of community and makes a lasting positive impact on Hong Kong.
