“Going where need is the greatest.“
Established in Bangkok, Thailand in 1980, DKSH (Thailand) Limited (DKSH) is a leading Market Expansion Services provider that offers sourcing, market insights, marketing and sales, eCommerce, distribution and logistics as well as after-sales services. They have been delivering growth for companies in Asia and beyond across their Healthcare, Consumer Goods, Performance Materials, and Technology Business Units.
DKSH is a participant of the United Nations Global Compact and adheres to its principles-based approach to responsible business. They are one of the largest organizations in the country in terms of sales, employing over 10,000 specialists, and also represent the largest country operation of the DKSH Group.
With their purpose of enriching people’s lives by providing access to goods, services, and insights, DKSH is united by its vision of being a trusted partner, and helping companies grow. They achieve this through helping their clients grow by distributing, promoting, and servicing their products and helping their customers grow by providing access to high-quality products, services, and insights.
Living up to their purpose of enriching people’s lives, DKSH played a critical role in responding to the global Covid-19 pandemic. They delivered more than 80 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines, and reliably supplied pharmaceutical products and daily essentials across Asia Pacific, all the while ensuring an uninterrupted supply chain, even to the remotest areas in some of their markets.
Sustainability is a DKSH’s core value that they bring to life through their Sustainability Framework, which focuses on three key pillars – ‘Our People, Our Partners, Our Planet’. This framework outlines the company’s stance on talent management, business standards and ethics, as well as environmental objectives, among others.
DKSH has been engaging with the community in Thailand for over 13 years now, through a partnership with Right To Play as a programme partner. With the objective of improving the life skills of children and youth in Thailand through sports and play, this initiative targets at-risk youths to become active agents of change in their communities. This longstanding partnership has offered DKSH employees the chance to participate in trainings organized by Right To Play and co-facilitate large play events.
Their Side by Side Partnership, a collaboration with Right To Play and Liverpool F.C. Foundation aims to promote life skills, social cohesion, and safe and inclusive learning environments for children and young people in Thailand. Launched in 2020, the partnership introduces a program that provides sports and play-based sessions and establishes skill-building initiatives for vulnerable children and young people from urban communities across Bangkok. In addition, Side by Side also supports the children’s families and communities who have been affected by the pandemic.
Their recent activity includes a football clinic for over 50 vulnerable children, ages 10 to 17 years old, from communities across Bangkok. The clinic was led by Liverpool F.C. Foundation coaches, who traveled from Anfield to take part in this outreach program facilitated by Right To Play and DKSH staff members. DKSH employees acted as the on-site translators for the coaches and the participants to enhance communication and understanding, while the Right To Play facilitators supported by creating a friendly and engaging learning experience.
Through their D-Give initiative, DKSH provided aid to hospitals in short supply of medical grade supplies and other essential products to safeguard healthcare professionals and care for Covid-19 positive patients. DKSH’s employees and the company raised funds to donate the much-needed medical grade supplies, including N-95 surgical masks, PPE and face shields, hand sanitizers, disinfectant sprays, disinfectant wipes, and other necessities. Through D-Give, DKSH was able to strengthen their commitment to support Thai patients and healthcare professionals during these unprecedented times.
“DKSH Thailand delivered more than 80 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines, and reliably supplied pharmaceutical products and daily essentials across Asia Pacific, ensuring an uninterrupted supply chain, even to the remotest areas in some of their markets. No small feat considering the disruption caused by the pandemic.”
