Securing our future
AETOS Holdings Pte Ltd, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, is Singapore’s leading unified security solutions provider tasked with safeguarding key national maritime, aviation, and infrastructure installations. Established in 2004, it is among the first organizations in the country to offer the unified capabilities of security, safety, facilities management (FM), and sustainability.
As one of only three security service providers in Singapore with the license to provide armed auxiliary police personnel, AETOS has long championed the security industry transformation roadmap of the country.
Guided by three fundamental principles – Agile (going fast), Cohesive (going together), and Extraordinary (going beyond), also known as ACE – AETOS believes in harnessing the collective power of its people, partners, and data to achieve outcomes that surpass expectations.
Today, the 5000-strong company has more than 2,800 clients from both the government and commercial sectors, spanning industries such as port and utilities, banking, education, and retail. Some of its notable clients include the Ministry of Home Affairs (Singapore Police Force, Immigrations Checkpoint Authority, Singapore Prison Services); JTC Corporation; DBS Bank; Singtel; and Mediacorp.
To ensure that it is future-ready, the company recently introduced a new 5G Integrated Command Centre (ICC) that will help disrupt conventional security operations through technology-enabled integrated security management. The ICC aggregates data from IoT systems, sensors, security cameras, as well as mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems to help businesses improve security, safety, and facilities management operations, as well as to track sustainability targets.
Further, the platform aims to adopt metaverse applications and adopt Singapore’s largest 3D digital twin, expanding the company’s capabilities beyond security. On top of monitoring security, safety, and FM operations, the ICC has the capability to help clients track total carbon emissions and real-time efficiency levels.
The collected data – such as water and energy consumption, CO2/VOC, and even vehicle fleet movements – can help clients to monitor their progress against carbon reduction targets in order to achieve their 2030 sustainability goals. As a result, businesses can expect to see an improvement in outcome-based performance indicators and an increase of up to 20 per cent overall productivity through the platform.
Besides the breakthrough ICC platform, AETOS takes pride in being the only security service provider in Singapore that offers the full range of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) services. This includes provision of manual, autonomous and tethered drones, detecting and locating errant drone users, as well as conducting UAV training for clients.
In recognition of its efforts to create and promote an inclusive working environment, AETOS was recently awarded the Enabling Mark (Silver). It is the first security firm to receive this accreditation – a testament to its inclusive practices as an employer. Furthermore, the company is compliant with strict ISO standards relating to occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system (ISO 45001), as well as anti-bribery policy and processes (ISO 37001).
AETOS’ commitment to the development of its employees does not stop at providing both digital and in-person training sessions to equip them with diversified skillsets. Instead, the company goes a few steps further by involving employees in its CSR programmes, such as promoting volunteerism in community service initiatives and implementing a scheme that allows them to donate a portion of their salary directly to Community Chest.
Looking ahead, AETOS will start measuring training effectiveness using big data and analytics to improve employee competency and long-term employability. Elsewhere, the company will leverage on the next-generation ICC platform to help it stay ahead of evolving security threats, and unlock data-driven value for clients in the APAC region and beyond.
Ultimately, AETOS will continue striving to be a trailblazer in transforming mindsets and leading change in the security industry through digital disruption.
“AETOS Holdings Pte Ltd doesn’t just go above and beyond to provide advanced, future-proof security solutions for its clients; but also helps to secure a better, brighter and more sustainable future together by empowering its employees.”
