More about

Advanced Info Service Public

Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS) is the leading telecommunications provider in Thailand. Established in 1990 and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the company has consistently maintained its position as a market leader. In 2014, AIS reported a net profit of 36,033 million baht. With a workforce of 12,000 employees nationwide, AIS also champions workplace inclusivity, employing individuals with visual, hearing, and physical disabilities. The company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives are deeply embedded in its commitment to Thailand and its people.

AIS-CSR Pillars

Sarnrak Supporting Families

Guided by the principle of “Creating strong Thai families for a strong country,” AIS promotes family values through public service announcements broadcasted nationwide. The company organizes annual activities such as the AIS Family Rally and AIS Walk Rally, fostering bonding and engagement within Thai families.

Sarnrak Konkeng Haujai Grang

AIS runs a weekly TV documentary titled “Sarnrak Kongeng Huajai Grang” (Weaving Love: Good Kids Great Hearts), featuring inspiring stories of underprivileged children. These children, despite facing hardships, remain committed to their education while supporting their families. AIS provides scholarships covering their education up to a Bachelor’s Degree, with no obligations attached. Currently, around 600 students are part of the program, and 130 have successfully graduated.

Sarnrak for Thai Community

AIS is dedicated to empowering children with disabilities by organizing “AIS Smiles on Children’s Day,” ensuring they experience joy and inclusion. The company has also pioneered “Job Opportunities in Call Center for People with Disabilities,” the first initiative of its kind in Thailand, integrating disabled individuals into the workforce. At present, nine AIS call centers are staffed by differently-abled employees.

To support working parents in rural areas, AIS established the AIS-Sarnrak Child Development Center (AIS-CDC), offering trained caretakers, preschool curriculums, books, stationery, lunch, and milk—all fully funded by AIS. Currently, there are five centers in operation.

As scholarship recipients approach graduation, AIS conducts “Career Guidance for Graduating Students,” equipping them with skills and knowledge to enter the workforce. This initiative has been extended to senior university students beyond the scholarship program.

AIS also plays a vital role in disaster relief, having distributed 65,650 survival kits worth approximately 20 million baht since 2001 to assist Thai citizens affected by natural disasters. Additionally, the company contributes five million baht annually to the AIS Fund for Elderly People, established in collaboration with the Rajaprajanugroh Foundation. This fund, which has grown to 70 million baht, supports Thailand’s elderly population.

Sarnrak: The Hearts of Volunteerism

AIS encourages its employees to engage in community service through the “AIS Volunteers, Sustainable Social Development” program. Employees are granted up to three paid workdays per year to participate in volunteer activities, reinforcing CSR values within the organization.

Recognition and Industry Leadership

AIS upholds corporate governance with a strong emphasis on workplace quality, financial performance, and innovation. Its excellence in human resource management has been recognized through several prestigious awards. In 2015, AIS was named Best Employer in Thailand for the third consecutive year by Aon Hewitt Thailand and Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration. The company also received the Best Company 2015 award in the Technology category at the Money & Banking Awards 2015.
