Accent the positives.
Going where the need is.
Accenture is a global professional services company with leading capabilities in digital, cloud and security. Combining unmatched experience and specialized skills across more than 40 industries, we offer Strategy and Consulting, Technology and Operations services and Accenture Song — all powered by the world’s largest network of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Operations centers.
Accenture’s purpose is to deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity. This guides the company’s strategy, priorities, and the opportunities it create for their people. Their 721,000-strong team delivers on that promise daily, serving clients in more than 120 countries. They embrace the power of change to create value and shared success for their clients, people, shareholders, partners, and communities.
Guided by the pillars of their Corporate Citizenship (CC) offerings and their sustainability promise, Accenture extend this responsibility to the communities they operate in as they seek out partner organizations with shared goals.
Accenture’s five key CC offerings include employee giving, grant-giving, volunteering, pro bono, and technology donation – often computers or tablets – coupled with digital upskilling programs.
They identify and engage external non-profit partners who can help them in each CC offering. To maximize every partnership and potentially increase the positive impact they make to their target beneficiaries, Accenture also explore opportunities for their partners to take part in multiple CC offerings. Non-profit partners are evaluated and determined based on their experience, network, and credibility.
Through their Skills to Succeed initiatives, they not only train and develop communities with the career and business skills needed to succeed, but also provide them with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Recognizing the social impact of the pandemic to marginalized families who lost income opportunities, Accenture launched their Covid-19 response by addressing primary concerns on (1) food, health, and nutrition, (2) employment and livelihood, and (3) education and upskilling. Partnering with Caritas Manila, they distributed food aid to over 180,000 families in the form of food vouchers or direct food aid in a span of six months. This was complemented with a supplemental feeding program for 5,000 malnourished children ages four to six years old, to bring their nutritional status to normal in six months.
To help the impacted individuals find jobs during the pandemic, Accenture worked with Philippine Business for Social Progress, Save the Children, Plan International, and Leonard Cheshire Disability Philippines Foundation in designing programs that will provide these sectors with technical- vocational, entrepreneurial, as well as life skills. Through this initiative, Accenture provided 1,300 individuals with skills either for employment or entrepreneurship with a 70% success rate in terms of finding jobs or starting a business
Even during the pandemic, Accenture still continued with its flagship digital upskilling programs – the Skills to Succeed (S2S) Academy and the Near-Hire Training (NHT) program. Through their S2S Academy, they not only train and develop communities with the career and business skills needed to succeed, but also provide them with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. In Fiscal Year 2021, S2S Academy had over 40,000 learners and in the past three years, the program accumulated over 86,000 learners.
Accenture strive to drive positive change in the communities where they live and work. With the talents of their people, innovative partnerships, and the latest technology, they create social impact, empower individuals, and create a more inclusive and equitable future.
“Accenture’s Skills to Succeed initiatives train and develop communities with the career and business skills needed to succeed, as well as providing them with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in a strongly circular economy of giving. ”
