The rise and rise of Accenture Philippines.

Accenture in the Philippines started out in 1985 as an offshore application development center catering to internal business requirements. Over the years it transformed its business and expanded capabilities. Accenture Philippines now delivers end-to-end technology and business services through Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centers and Intelligent Operations Centers in the Philippines, serving leading companies and hundreds of clients around the world. Its business architecture now centers around five distinct businesses – Accenture Strategy, Accenture Consulting, Accenture Digital, Accenture Technology and Accenture Operations.
In the Philippines, Accenture serves more than 400 clients from North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia Pacific and Latin America, spanning various industries including communications and media technology, financial services, health and public service, products and retail. 
Its teams work closely and co-innovate with clients, combining their industry expertise with the latest technologies to help their customers achieve exceptional business outcomes and successfully navigate the ever-changing digital world by leveraging on design thinking to develop solutions that really make a difference.

In June 2017 Accenture Philippines launched the Accenture Liquid Studio in Manila. The 2,000-square-meter space for co-creation, experimentation and innovation is an open, collaborative space designed for rapid application development, aimed at helping unlock the enormous potential of new and emerging technologies for clients. The company also gives its employees access to unparalleled learning experiences, ranging from learning boards and certification programs, to innovation playhouses, contests and conferences, to help instill creativity, resourcefulness and ingenuity. Training and upskilling also allows its leaders develop important traits and skills to help them effectively lead innovative teams. Accenture Philippines leaders are key members of various industry and business organizations, including the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP), and the Philippines Software Industry Association (PSIA). As thought and process champions, Accenture leaders have spoken widely in the Philippines and abroad, including at the 2018 UN International Day for Women and Girls in Science (February 22, 2019), IBPAP’s International Innovation Summit (November 12 to 13, 2018) and Google Developers Group’s DevFest 2018.

Accenture Philippines’ commitment to improve business and social outcomes extends to the communities around it. The company has been partnering with the industry, academe and government to help students, particularly underprivileged youth, gain the necessary skills to succeed in the digital age, through employment and/or entrepreneurial pursuits.


Its programs – Skills to Succeed, Near Hire Training Program and Passerelles Numeriques Dual Training Program – aim to equip beneficiaries with customer service or IT technical skills and soft skills to increase employability. The corporation also reaches out to senior high school students with programs like Hour of Code, Girls Will Code and Coder Dojo to inspire younger generations to eventually pursue a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Accenture in the Philippines is the first IT-BPM and non-manufacturing company to receive the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Environment Performance Award for outstanding achievement in environmental sustainability practices. The company is sustainability standards marked (all facilities of Accenture in the Philippines are ISO 14001:2015) and passionate about creating innovative programs that reduce its carbon footprint. Within Accenture, the Philippines powerhouse is recognized for creating the Workplace Command Center, a 24/7 facility that is connected to Smart Meters in its 22 facilities, to help monitor energy consumption. The company was able to achieve 60 percent energy efficiency by replacing 15,000 bulbs with LED bulbs in more than 135 floors, and 30 percent energy efficiency by re-engineering its LAN room air conditioning units.


Anchored on its Core Values and Code of Business Ethics, Accenture’s Corporate Citizenship programs are focused on making a measurable, sustainable difference in the communities it operates in. Its global Skills to Succeed initiative leverages the organization’s training talent, strong partnerships and understanding of technology to help beneficiaries gain the skills and confidence required to find sustainable employment. In the Philippines, Accenture helps empower underprivileged youth to start building a brighter future for themselves and their families through its Digital Upskilling program. Accenture’s innovative teams and wide network of partners, led by the Philippines government through the Department of Education, are equipping Filipino youth with the skills and tools to thrive in the digital world and gain better opportunities for work or higher learning. Refurbished PCs are donated to support students’ digital learning experience, with employee volunteers running basic computer literacy training sessions for both teachers and students.


The Skills to Succeed Academy (S2S Academy), a free digital interactive learning program, helps students and the unemployed develop skills to make them job-ready. In 2019 5,000 employee volunteers contributed more than 35,000 hours of volunteer work, ranging from engaging in digital upskilling training to helping run Skills to Succeed workshops, which focus on CV writing and job interview preparation. Through employee donations, Accenture Philippines was able to raise PhP 6 million, which was used in disaster relief operations and to fund education support. Employee volunteers also regularly conduct environmental activities in various communities, such as coastal clean-up, tree planting and reforestation.


Accenture Philippines’ commitment to society is equally matched by its commitment to its people. The organization creates collaborative, inclusive and high-energy working environments where people can thrive, supported by flexible work arrangements and inclusion and diversity communities. Accenture Philippines is a leader in gender equality, both in the country and in Accenture globally, surpassing Accenture’s global goal to accelerate gender equality. In the Philippines, 52 percent of the workforce are women, with more than 50 percent of the leadership team composed of female executives (the global goal was 25 percent). The company is also Level 2 EDGE MOVE Certified. EDGE Certification stands for Economic Dividends for Gender Equality Certification, and is the leading global assessment methodology and business certification standard for gender equality.

In 2017, Accenture Philippines set a goal to be the most Truly Human organization in this digital age. It deployed more than 400 Truly Human initiatives designed towards its people’s holistic development—body (physical energy), mind (mental focus), heart (a strong sense of belonging), and soul (a strong sense of purpose).
